Luis Cansino will return for his fourteenth consecutive season at Janáčkova Opera Brno, singing Amonasro in the revival of Giuseppe Verdi’s “Aida” which premiered last year under the musical direction of Jakub Klecker and stage direction of Magdalena Švecová. Cansino will sing in four of the five performances scheduled for the 2026/27 season: September 15 and December 29, 2026, and January 24 and March 17, 2027. These last two performances will be especially significant for the baritone as they form part of the celebrations for the 40th anniversary of his debut.
